The West Side and Noland Xeriscape Gardens are habitat restoration and education gardens for the wastewater treatment plants and adjacent wetland prairies owned by the City of Fayetteville. The projects remediate ecological degradation due to erosion, sod maintenance and unmanaged stormwater runoff. The gardens substitute a naturalized Ozark plant community compatible with the prairie restoration efforts, providing bird and butterfly watching and educational opportunities among this sculpted garden.
